Immunity

Immunity testing is based on a Full Blood Examination (FBE) that measures white blood cell count and differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils) in ×10⁹/L. These markers indicate how your immune system is responding and recovering: higher results may suggest acute infection, inflammation, allergy or physiological stress, while lower results can be seen with viral illness, bone marrow suppression, some medications or nutritional deficiency (for example vitamin B12 or folate). This matters because immune balance is closely linked with fatigue, training recovery and overall metabolic stability. An immunity blood test is best interpreted alongside CRP, ferritin and other FBE indices to clarify the underlying driver of change.

What is an Immunity Test?

An Immunity Test measures different types of white blood cells—basophils, eosinophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, and total WBC count (×10⁹/L). Together, these values help show how your immune system is functioning as part of your overall wellbeing and recovery capacity.

Why does it matter for long-term health and wellbeing?

Healthy immune activity supports balanced energy, efficient recovery, and overall metabolic stability. Understanding your white blood cell profile helps you optimise lifestyle habits that sustain long-term vitality and performance.

How do I know if my Immunity is optimal?

Your results are compared to healthy Australian reference ranges. Stable values within these ranges typically reflect good balance, adequate recovery, and effective immune regulation.

What influences Immunity levels?

Hydration, nutrition, physical activity, stress, and sleep all play a role in maintaining immune balance. Regular movement, nutrient-rich meals, and quality rest can help support optimal levels.

What does it mean if my Immunity is outside the optimal range?

Variations may occur due to factors such as stress, fatigue, or physical exertion. Tracking results over time helps you understand personal trends and identify when lifestyle adjustments may be beneficial.

How can I support healthy immunity levels?

Focus on balanced nutrition with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole foods, stay hydrated, manage stress, and get enough rest. Consistent testing helps you stay informed and proactive about your overall health.
