The Baseline Health Check is a 70+ marker blood test you can refer through Vively. For clients with a Medicare card it’s a $99 Vively fee: your client has a 5–10 minute telehealth call with a GP, who confirms the final tests, subject to their clinical review, and issues the pathology referral. Without Medicare it’s $299. Medicare limits how often some tests can be repeated, such as HbA1c, vitamin D and fasting insulin.

Optimal ranges, worked out for you
A standard pathology report, like the one your client gets through their GP, shows each result against the laboratory’s reference range. That range covers about 95% of a reference population, so a result can sit inside it and still not be optimal.
Through Vively, 50 of the Baseline’s markers also show a Vively optimal range, and we do the work for you:
- Each optimal range comes from published evidence, and lists its sources in the platform
- Every result keeps the lab’s own reference range, and you can set your own target for any marker or client
- Each of those results is marked Optimal, Normal or Suboptimal, so you can see where to start
- The lab’s range always shows beside it, unchanged. Where the evidence isn’t strong enough, you see the lab’s range only
Who it’s for
- Clients with a Medicare card
- Medicare limits apply to some repeat tests
What the $99 covers
The $99 is Vively’s fee for arranging the GP consult, the pathology referral, reminders and your client’s results in the app. The GP consult has no extra cost to your client.
The GP consult
Your client books a 5–10 minute telehealth call after paying. The GP reviews the request, confirms the final tests and issues the Medicare pathology referral, as with any Medicare referral. Your client receives it with fasting and collection instructions.
Without Medicare
Choose the $299 private Baseline. If your client has no Medicare card, the referral switches to private and they pay the difference.
Adding tests
Add single markers or a panel to the same referral. Your client pays for the extras only and still does one blood draw: we send the Medicare and private pathology referrals together.
Where your client gives blood
The Medicare Baseline is collected at about 3,700 Vively partner centres run by Healius brands, Australian Clinical Labs and 4Cyte Pathology, all NATA-accredited or holding equivalent accreditation. The referral we send your client includes clear instructions on where they can have their test. Sonic Healthcare centres aren’t supported yet. Private add-ons are collected in the same blood draw.
