Can nutritionists order blood tests?

Nutritionists can’t request Medicare-funded pathology themselves. With Vively, you recommend the testing and an independent GP decides the request for eligible Medicare card holders, so your client pays $99 for 74 markers. Private tests, at-home kits and CGM are available too.

Your client stays your client

We run the testing. You lead the care.

Every Vively referral starts with your recommendation and comes back to you. We don’t offer your client our own practitioners, and on the Medicare pathway the GP’s job is the pathology request. Diet and lifestyle advice stays with you.

Your name on every email

Your client’s invitation carries your recommendation, your name, your practice name and your logo.

Your client agrees to share with you

At checkout your client consents to share their results with you. It’s the first thing they agree to.

You decide when results are released

Release as results arrive, or review them first. The results email invites your client to book with you.

We never market to your clients

Clients you refer get no Vively marketing emails or texts, and no Vively plans, dietitian offers or upgrade prompts in the app. Their tests skip Vively’s AI report and supplement suggestions.

Questions, answered

Questions from nutritionists

Can nutritionists order blood tests in Australia?

Not Medicare-funded tests. Through Vively, an independent GP decides the Medicare Baseline request for eligible clients, so they pay $99 for 74 markers. You can also refer private tests, at-home kits and CGM.

Which tests do nutritionists use most?

The Baseline for a full starting picture, then iron studies, micronutrients, fasting insulin and omega-3 as follow-ups. A glucose sensor shows how meals affect blood sugar.

Will I see the results?

Yes. Your client consents to share results with you at checkout. They land in the client record, and you choose when your client sees them.

Can my practice pay instead of the client?

Yes. Your client can pay at checkout, or your practice pays by card when you send and gets a receipt in its account.

Is there a cost to join?

No. Vively is free for practitioners with no subscription. Request access and we’ll verify your details first.
