The Sibionics GS3 is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) you wear on the back of your arm for up to 14 days. In Australia you can buy it on its own from Air Liquide Healthcare, from $89 a sensor on subscription, or as part of Vively's CGM program, from $124.75 a sensor, which adds the Vively app and program. It is the same sensor either way. What changes is the app you read it in and the help you get to act on your results.
The GS3 is a small, round sensor made by Sibionics. You apply it to the back of your upper arm with an applicator, and a thin filament sits just under your skin. It reads your glucose every 5 minutes, sends the readings to an app on your phone and lasts up to 14 days.
It is factory calibrated, so you do not need finger-prick tests to set it up. It is water resistant, so you can shower, exercise and swim with it on. Our guide to continuous glucose monitors explains how CGMs work and compares the other sensors sold in Australia.
Sibionics lists Air Liquide Healthcare as its official partner in Australia. Vively also supplies the GS3 as part of its CGM program.

The sensor is the same, so the difference is what you get around it. Vively's CGM program is built for people without diabetes who want to understand how food, sleep, activity and stress affect their glucose, and what to change.
A GS3 bought on its own costs $99, or $89 on subscription. Vively's single-sensor pack costs $199, and the 4-pack brings it down to $124.75 a sensor. The extra pays for the Vively app and program. If you only want the hardware and plan to read the numbers yourself, buying the sensor on its own is cheaper. If you want help turning your readings into changes, the program is the better fit. Our CGM cost guide compares every CGM sold in Australia.
